Burst water pipes waste the water residents are waiting for. Sewer bursts put families, and especially children, at risk of disease.
When you report a burst in the Barometer, please tell us:
- Whether it is a sewer burst or a water pipe burst
- Where it is: the street, and something nearby such as a school, clinic, church or shop
- How long it has been there
- Whether it has been reported to council, and the reference number if you have one
Every burst reported this way is listed by suburb, so HRT can raise it with council and check later whether it was fixed.
